How to Use the Invite Feature to Invite Clients

Updated over a year ago

The "Invite" functionality allows lenders to easily invite brokers (TPOs) to join the platform, either through email or a unique invite link. Here's how it works:

1. Who Can Send Invitations?

  • Managers: Always have the ability to invite TPOs and view all invitations.

  • Non-manager Users: Can invite TPOs if granted permission by checking the "Ability to invite TPOs" box when creating their user profile.

    • These users will have their own unique link.

2. How to View and Send Invitations

  • Lenders with access will have an "Invitations" section in their dashboard.

  • This section has two parts: Email Invitations and Your Invite Link.

Email Invitations:

  • You can send invitations by providing individual email addresses or importing a CSV file. The system will extract the email addresses from the file and confirm who to invite.

  • Invitation Email: Each invitation email is branded with your company’s details and tailored to the recipient’s situation, including whether they are already registered or not.

Your Invite Link:

  • Each user has a unique invite link that they can share with TPOs.

  • If the recipient is logged in, they will be directed to your marketplace page.

  • If the recipient is not logged in, they will be prompted to sign in or sign up before being directed to the marketplace page.

  • The system remembers invitations using cookies, so if the recipient completes the sign-up process later, the invite will still be tracked.

3. Managing Invitations

  • Invitations are tracked in the "Invitations" section. For email invitations, you'll see the status of the invite, including:

    • Whether the recipient already has an account.

    • If the recipient hasn’t joined yet, their invitation will be marked as "Invite sent."

    • If the invitation has expired or needs to be resent, you can send another invite after 30 days.

4. Statuses

  • Invite Sent - When inviting TPOs from Loanscape and TPO doesn't have an account

  • Invite Sent - Existing Account - When inviting TPOs and they have an account

  • Link Opened - When your custom link is opened by the client

  • Account Created - When the client has created an account

  • Application Created - When the client has started the application

  • Existing Applications - When the client is already in the process of getting approved

5. Invitation Emails

  • Each email invitation is lender-branded and customized depending on whether the recipient:

    • Is already registered and can start an application.

    • Isn't registered yet and needs to create a company.

    • Is added to a company but has limited access.

    • Is matched to a company based on their email domain.

6. Unsubscribe Option

  • Recipients can choose to unsubscribe from all invitation emails or just invitations from your company. If they unsubscribe, the invitation will still show in your system, but no email will be sent.

7. Automatically Detecting the Account Executive

  • Once a TPO follows the invite link and creates an account or application, the Account Executive (AE) is automatically pre-filled based on the link or the user who sent the invitation.

8. Other Features

  • The "Invitations" section will also display details about when an invite was sent and whether the recipient has signed up.

  • Managers can use a "standard invite link" without pre-filling the AE field.
